In their ministry to prison inmates and ex-offenders, Glenn and fellow volunteers of Prison Fellowship Singapore (PFS) work hard to assure them that they are not alone in their journey of reintegration and rehabilitation.

The Bible says, “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” (James 4:10)

As an ex-offender, Glenn knows fully well how it feels to be looked down upon. There was an episode that he vividly recalls to this very day.

Most of us don’t lay all our cards on the table, even with family and friends. We tend to hide our true feelings and deal superficially with certain people to protect ourselves or avoid trouble. But ex-offenders like Glenn Zhang have a different posture－they are open about their lives and vulnerabilities. “I was such a rotten apple, but God has shown me grace.”
