• Every week, more than 50 Bible study sessions are held across all prison clusters. Volunteers from church teams lead worship and deliver inspirational messages.

  These sessions help prisoners learn life skills, experience recovery and inner healing, and make attitudinal changes. They also provide a safe space for prisoners to talk about their joys, struggles, and practical areas of life change.

  The sessions are a vital part of the rehabilitation process for prisoners. They provide hope, support, and guidance, and help prisoners to rebuild their lives and become productive members of society.

The GGM programme replaces the former Christian Intensive Religious Counselling Programme (CIRCP). Together with the Singapore Prison Service, the CIRCP was revamped from 9 months to 5 months and from 6 half days per week to 2 half days per week. The pedagogy was also revamped from full in-person teaching to a combination of video-guided teaching and circle facilitation.‍ ‍

The Growing as God’s Men (GGM) programme is a flagship faith-based initiative conducted within Changi Prison through a partnership between PFS, the Biblical Graduate School of Theology (BGST), and the Men’s Ministry Network (MMN). The curriculum utilizes video teachings, personal reflection, and volunteer-led discussions to help participants explore biblical principles and discover a renewed sense of purpose.

By integrating daily devotionals and restorative justice principles, GGM encourages inmates to take accountability for their past while embracing the possibility of spiritual redemption and personal restoration. Ultimately, the programme empowers men to reframe their life narratives, moving beyond past failures to build positive relationships and contribute meaningfully to society.

Part 1: “God’s Grand Story” - This section introduces the big story of the Bible – from the creation of the world, to humanity’s brokenness, to God’s plan to restore people through Jesus Christ. Participants are encouraged to see how their own lives fit within this larger story and how God offers forgiveness and hope.

Part 2: “Becoming God’s Man” - This section focuses on personal growth and character. Participants explore what it means to live as a man of God by developing qualities such as humility, self-control, love for others, and a commitment to serve and support those around them.
